Sat., Oct. 4, 2009
Please join Clifford Outdoors folks for an autumn afternoon of fellowship at Freddie & Susan Massie's farm from 12 noon - 5pm. Bring your family and friends, and plan to visit together over a bowl of Freddie's Brunswick Stew. (there will be a small charge of $5.00 for 12 years old - adult to offset the cost of the stew supplies, which will be collected at the farm) 
 
Directions:
From Amherst - take 29 South
Turn right on Rt. 130 head West (towards Elon)
Continue on Rt. 130 thru Elon and Naola.
Take right exit to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Go left (south) on the Parkway.
Continue on the Parkway past Otter Creek Lake (on the left) and pass over the James River Bridge.
Take left exit to Rt. 501. Turn right (towards Big Island) on Rt. 501. Go approximately 2 miles.
Turn right onto Rt. 122 (South towards Bedford). Go approximately 2 miles.
Turn right onto St. Rt. 601 (Red Hill Road). Go 1/4 mile. The road forks. Take the left fork, at which point the road become dirt/gravel. This is Churchill Road.
Go another 1/4 mile. Cross large wooden bridge over Hunting Creek. The Massie farm is the small yellow house and all the barns are on the left just after you cross the bridge. Parking will be across the drive from the house in the neighbors's hay field.
