Women on Mission
Mary Thomas & Melissa Maynard, Co-Directors

The mission of the W.O.M. is to inform and inspire the contemporary Baptist woman to influence her world for Christ. The night group meets on the second Monday of each month at 6:30pm in various homes. The location of each meeting is on the left hand side of the web page. The day groups meets on the third Tuesday of each month in the office conference room at 10:00am. All ladies are invited to attend!

Our Watchword: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: love your neighbor as yourself." (Matthew 22:37-39 NIV, Adapted)

Betty Fortune-Night Group Leader
Jackie Prillaman-Day Group Leader

Projects: (Julie Coleman & Jodi Coots Missions Outreach Coordinators for night group)
Ongoing Collections: Bins located near elevator
Campbell soup labels (for Mountain Mission School. All that is needed is the small UPC code, and labels from any Campbell's product are acceptable.
Box-tops for Education
Greeting card fronts (for St. Jude's Hospital). Keep the personal message and let some sick child enjoy the pictures)
Used Stamps (cut a small border around the stamp if possible)
Shoe Boxes (for Samaritian's Purse collection) Hold your shoe boxes (standard men & women boxes only - boot boxes are too large and children's shoe boxes are too small) & watch the bulletin for drop off time.

Hiker Bag Project - The ladies collected various toiletries and candy to be included in "goody bags" and delivered them to a location where Applachian Trail Hikers would get a bag when they come off the trail. They collected 149 bags!

Samaritans Purse Project - The congregation donated showboxes and the Women on Mission and Acteens worked together to wrap the boxes for the congregation to fill for the Samaritans Purse.

Titus Sister Ministry
Coordinator: Robin Witt

In 2003, thirteen ladies gathered in a small room for Sunday school. From that small group the Titus Sisters ministry grew into what it is today. Approximately 100 ladies have participated in a series of four different ten-week studies based on the books by Donna Partow:  “Becoming a Vessel God Can Use,” “Walking in Total God-Confidence,”“Standing Firm,” and "Living in Absolute Freedom."  Five years later this is an energetic, vibrant and lively women’s ministry that exercises the love of God both in Clifford Baptist Church and the surrounding community through teaching, ministering and rubber-meets-the-road action. Sometimes these ministries are quiet and behind the scenes, sometimes they are not so quiet ladies’ retreats focused on studying God’s Word. The purpose of Titus Sisters has been, and is, to prepare Christian women of all ages to branch out into the ministries they are called to. While focusing also on ministering to all the ladies of Clifford Baptist Church, Titus Sisters provides love, encouragement and support to the surrounding community in a variety of significant ministries. We welcome all ladies and invite you to join this exciting women’s ministry!  Please contact Robin Witt, Titus Sister Coordinator for questions, comments, ministry opportunities and to suggest ideas at: wittsend2009@netzero.net or 238-3068.

Past Activities:Retreats, Conferences, Luncheons
